Luke 18:1-14

Always pray and don't give up. There was a widow who begged a judge.
An enemy gave her a real hard time. He must have held a grudge.

The judge wouldn't help, because he didn't care, but the widow kept asking him.
He finally said, she will drive me nuts, if I don't finally give in.

Jesus said look, if the judge helped the widow 'cause her begging was like push and shoves.
How much more, if we're faithful in prayer, will God help those He loves?

Then Jesus told a parable of the Pharisee, because they thought they were good.
They looked down on others who were not like them. It was wrong, but they did it 'cause they could.

The Pharisee prayed, I thank my God I'm not like other men.
I fast and tithe and I'm not unjust like this old publican.

The publican bowed his humble head, and smote his sinful breast.
He said please God be merciful, I'm not as good as all the rest.

But Jesus tells us he was justified, and not the proud Pharisee.
If you exalt yourself, you'll be abased. Be humble and trust in me.
