Psalm 73:1-100:5

I was jealous of the wicked. They seemed to do OK.
While I tried to do the right thing, and was troubled every day.

I said, this isn't worth it. Until I went to church.
There I learned about eternity. Quite enlightening research.

When life's over they're destroyed. For me a different story.
Whom have I in heaven but God, who receives us into glory.

God sets men up and brings them down. He's greater than every king.
Who is so great as our God? He rules o're every thing.

Remember God's power and mighty works, when from Egypt's land we trod.
We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Continue to trust in God.

Give ear oh shepherd of Israel. When the heathen plot to destroy.
Fill their faces with shame. Make them seek after you. In Jehovah is our joy.

Don't envy the wicked who flaunt their wealth, right now they're proud and haughty.
Best to keep doors in the house of God, than to dwell in the tents of the naughty.

Lord we have strayed and disobeyed. Show mercy and grant salvation.
Revive us again. Show your power to men, an example to every nation.

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever. Though I am just a man of clay.
But God forever is eternal. A thousand years is but a day.

In the secret place of the most high God, we dwell beneath His shadow.
His angels they shall bear you up, lest you fall and stub your big toe.

The wicked may flourish quick like grass, but the righteous slow like cedar.
Be patient and trust in God you must. We will trust Him as our leader.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Come to Him with thanksgiving.
Say among the heathen the Lord is God. He reigns o're all the living.

Come into His gates with thankful hearts, and into His courts with praise.
His mercy is everlasting. His truth lasts beyond our days.
